No code AI automation tools to try in 2024

We’ve had Make.com (formerly Integromat) and Zapier and some other automation tools for a long time, but 2023 was the year of LLMs and as they became more prevalent, automation shifted from logic-based to LLM-based. I mean, not entirely, but more and more people are implementing GPT into their workflows. And that’s leading to the emergence of LLM-focused automation tools. In this post, I’ll list some that I’ve been using.

What can I do with these AI automation tools and how are they different from the conventional automation tools?

There are some things that set them apart from conventional automation tools such as Make.com and Zapier.

They make use of LLMs easier

AI automation tools let you simply choose from a lot of LLMs that they have configured on their end, making it easier for you to test and see which model better fits your needs. In 2023, we pretty much only saw text generation models supported in these tools, but we’ll definitely see them adopt more multi-modal models such as images and audio.

They make developments of LLM apps much faster

One of my favorite things about AI automation tools is their ability to let you deploy your automation workflow as a REST API endpoint. What this means is that you don’t have to do anything complicated from your app side. All you have to do is make an API call to that endpoint you set up and show the response in your app, which makes building an LLM app much much simpler.

We’ll definitely see these tools democratize and expedite the LLM-based automation and development of LLM apps.

So, without further ado, let’s go over the AI automation tools to watch out for in 2024!

Relevance AI

Relevance AI is definitely one of my favorites. They have this Zapier kind of interface so you’ll feel comfortable using it if you know how to Zapier works.

They also have a functionality where you can upload your datasets, vectorize them using an embedding API, then perform vector search against them. This process is what you would normally follow when building an AI chatbot.

Vector search is something you cannot do using the conventional automation tools such as Make.com and Zapier. I should mention that it is possible using Zapier, but I find it very unreliable, especially when you feed a large volume of data to it. Lots of unexpected errors. I tried it myself in the middle of 2023. Haven’t gone back since then.

Its sleek design is also a plus.

AirOps

Another great tool to add to your stack. AirOps is not as beautiful as Relevance AI but it works pretty much the same. I actually find what AirOps offers around vector search more reliable than Relevance AI. Its Google Sheets integration is a huge plus for me!

Stack AI

Not something I’ve spent a lot of time trying out but it’s definitely a tool to watch for in 2024. Stack AI has an extensive portfolio of integratable tools such as Notion, Google Drive, Azure Storage.

Flowise

Flowise is something I’m thinking out trying out in early 2024. There wasn’t much documentation when I came across it, so it just ended up in my bookmark. But I cannot ignore it because it’s been getting much more attention these days. If you have tried it already, let me know!
